Day One

Tuesday, May 21

17.30 | One Platform to Rule Them All: Consolidating Preconstruction

Wil Montgomery
Senior Estimator & Preconstruction Technology Analyst
Power Construction

Wil Montgomery came to Power Construction in 2010 as an estimator after graduating from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Building Construction Management. In 2014, as part of his effort to expand his technical skill set, he served as a Project Engineer on a vertical expansion of a hospital bed tower.  During this time his appreciation for construction technology grew into a passion. Upon returning to his estimating role, he seized the opportunity to be a champion for innovation at Power by co-founding a group of like-minded employees to brainstorm, test and implement the latest in technology tools for use by project teams.  Among his technology pursuits are such tools as digital drawing sets, touch-enabled devices, 3D imaging, BIM, 3D printing, virtual reality and augmented reality platforms.  An enthusiastic learner and teacher, he is gifted with the ability to simplify the most complex technology and make it easily understandable for people of all skill levels.
